Spring and Autumn Yan City Cultural Journey
As May arrives, the willows are lush and green, and the sunshine is bright and cheerful—perfect weather for an outdoor adventure to breathe in some fresh air. To enrich employees' leisure time, enhance communication and collaboration across departments, and further boost everyone's enthusiasm for work, Nantong Dongyang Fashion Co., Ltd. organized a cultural journey to Changzhou Chunqiu Yan City Amusement Park for all staff on May 10th.
This spring outing featured a sizable group; the company arranged a total of nine buses, and each employee received a uniform T-shirt and matching travel cap. Dressed neatly and brimming with energy, the team showcased Dongyang Fashion’s vibrant and professional spirit.
After more than three hours of travel, the group finally arrived at Yan City Amusement Park. As soon as they stepped inside, a large screen greeted them with the warm message: "A Warm Welcome to All Employees of Nantong Dongyang Fashion Co., Ltd.!" This heartfelt gesture made every Dongyang employee feel deeply cared for and warmly embraced.
Yan City is one of China’s best-preserved ancient city-site ruins, offering a rare glimpse into the grandeur of the Spring and Autumn period. Built around this historic site, Chunqiu Yan City Amusement Park has become a sprawling, immersive entertainment destination. Here, visitors can not only enjoy thrilling rides but also immerse themselves in the rich cultural heritage of the Spring and Autumn era, experiencing firsthand the charm and depth of this iconic historical period—a truly unforgettable experience!
First, the group headed to the "Schools of Thought" area, which beautifully captures the essence of ancient Chinese culture through diverse artistic expressions. This zone vividly showcases the most influential philosophical schools from the Spring and Autumn and Warring States periods, including Confucianism, Taoism, Legalism, Mohism, and others. Each section of the "Schools of Thought" area is meticulously designed to recreate the bustling intellectual atmosphere of that era, complete with lifelike scenes that highlight the vibrant debates and exchanges among scholars.
Next, the group visited the "Sun Wu General Command Platform," inspired by the legendary tale of Sun Wu, the renowned military strategist from the Warring States period. Before every campaign, Sun Wu would meticulously organize his troops and strategize his battle plans, exuding the bold confidence of a true military genius. The "Sun Wu General Command Platform" is an awe-inspiring aerial attraction standing 55 meters high, capable of accommodating up to 110 visitors at once. What sets it apart is its unique combination of both rotational and orbital movements—each completing a full 360-degree rotation. At its highest point, guests can enjoy panoramic views of Yan City’s iconic three-city layout and three-river system, capturing the commanding presence of a master tactician planning victory from above. Remarkably, this innovative flying island ride is also China’s first amusement attraction to feature fully independent intellectual property rights.
Finally, no visit to Chunqiu Yan City would be complete without exploring the heart of the Confucian district. Here, towering over the landscape, stands a majestic statue of Confucius, flanked by two other revered figures of Confucianism—Mencius and Xunzi. Their imposing presence evokes the profound wisdom and timeless teachings of Confucianism, inviting modern-day visitors to step back in time and reflect on the harmonious ideals of Confucian philosophy: prioritizing benevolence, righteousness, and social balance.
Continuing onward, the group wandered into the bustling "Marketplace Street," where lively crowds mingled with costumed park staff dressed in authentic Spring and Autumn-era attire. These performers brought the daily lives of ordinary people from that era to life, offering guests a chance to experience the vibrant tapestry of local customs, traditions, and the colorful diversity of marketplace culture during the Spring and Autumn period.
After this unforgettable retreat for the soul, employees returned feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and uplifted. Colleagues supported and looked out for one another, fostering deeper connections and strengthening their bonds. The trip also provided ample opportunities for open dialogue and collaboration, helping to build a stronger, more cohesive team dynamic. Upon returning to work, everyone eagerly shared their cherished memories and newfound insights, ready to tackle their tasks with renewed vigor and passion. Together, they’re committed to contributing even more passionately to the company’s continued growth and success.
